Cartonplast sheets, due to their thin and lightweight nature, require specific conditions that must be observed during installation:
Under sloped roofs with an external metal layer, glass wool or rock wool must be used between the cartonplast sheet and the metal layer.
For storage under warehouse roofs, metal or plastic nets should be installed to protect the sheets.
In areas with special climatic conditions, cartonplast sheets should be selected according to the regional weather. The recommended temperature range is 15°C to 30°C. For cities where temperatures exceed 30°C, UV-protected cartonplast sheets must be used.
In locations with chemical gases or acidic substances, the use of cartonplast is not recommended; polycarbonate sheets should be used instead.
In poultry farms and cattle farms, only UV-protected cartonplast sheets are suitable.
Cartonplast should not be used in warehouses handling PVC powder products.
Cartonplast should not be used in open-sided structures such as stone-cutting workshops.
Rolls must always be transported vertically. No other products should be placed on top of cartonplast.
In workshops or industrial warehouses using fossil fuels, UV-protected cartonplast is mandatory.
In hot regions, during installation, a 20 cm gap must be maintained between the metal sheet and the cartonplast, and glass wool or rock wool must be used. (Foam materials are not recommended).
Cartonplast sheets are not resistant to direct sunlight or high temperatures; therefore, careful storage and warehousing are essential.
During installation, avoid exposing sheets to direct sunlight, even for short periods.
Contact with sharp or pointed objects can cause perforation or tearing of the sheets.
In general, the use of cartonplast sheets is mainly intended to reduce costs compared to proper insulation and covering materials such as polycarbonate. Therefore, they are only recommended for temporary applications, and it is strongly advised to consult with technical experts before use.
